WWF China Annual Report 2005

Posted on 01 August 2006
With over 40 field projects at work across the country, WWF’s conservation initiatives now range from bringing environmental education to China's 200 million schoolchildren and restoring wetland ecosystems and the connections between rivers and lakes to finding ways to manage forests so they aren't cut down faster than they grow back and helping people find environmentally friendly livelihoods that increase their standard of living.

WWF has also been working in China to protect other important species and their habitats, which are often threatened by commercial logging, forest fires, poaching, wetland conversion, overfishing, pollution and dam construction.
